an awesome band
This band wrote me on youtube after seeing my movie trailer. They are a Native American metal band from a rez in southern Arizona! check them out at http://www.freewebs.com/scukgogs/index.htm
Makes me want to go out there and film them…but then this film will never be done. Maybe I can do it anyway, find a way to make another film, with them in it…indigenous heavy metal from around the world! Yeah!
Okay now what?
I have been working on this movie for over a year now and well all the footage is in OR with Niharika and I feel useless. Just trying to figure out the next move I guess-or maybe I should take this time to relax. I wake up thinking of footage I forgot and email her about it. She may think I have gone bonkers, I think I have…I am making her write a post about it soon so we can see what is going on from her perspective-’cause mine is all tainted and shit. She noticed that when we were watching all the footage I was so negative about what I shot. My boyfriend kept popping his head in to see what was up and said how awesome it looked…but that’s my boyfriend. Then a couple of days ago I showed a friend footage of her headbanging that I caught on tape at one of the concerts and she thought the footage looked awesome (of the band). That made me feel good. I got to stop putting my shit down and own this! Positive thinking. Nobody wants to see a movie by someone that doesn’t think their movie is any good….what am I talking about? I am at work and distracted. I gots to chillax and enjoy this time of not being physically attached to my camera or computer and trust it will work out just fine, no more than fine.

Meeting with Niharika, my editor and good good friend, today at the house to watch the four and a half hour cut that I have not seen it in sometime. I am a bit scared. We are then making plans for her to pack it up and edit in Portland, OR. I was thinking I could go out and visit her but I may not have the time or money to do that. Oh well we are trying to get this in by the end of August so we can submit to Sundance shorts catagory. Pray for us…
